This research creation project transmits designing and creating a UI [user-interface] for an online mapping program of the constellation of media required for Super Smash Bros. Melee (SSBM) as an esport rooted in residual media entirely built and supported by its own player base. The project uses media archaeological methods and theories in its conception, rationalization and logic. This online program captures a specific time in SSBM esports culture and can be used as a gateway learning tool for new players. This project speculates on ways to present amalgamations of esports hardware/software through interaction design.
